Amanda moved to St. Catharines in July 2017 to open up her pedorthic and orthotics practice OrthoFocus. Amanda has been working as a Canadian Certified Pedorthist for the past 14 years. Amanda graduated from Lakehead University in 2004 with a Honours Degree in Kinesiology. During her last year of Kinesiology, Amanda was introduced to the field of Pedorthics and was fascinated by the field. She then completed her Diploma in Pedorthics at the University of Western Ontario in 2005. She obtained her Canadian Certified Pedorthist designation in November of 2005. Amanda has served on the Pedorthic Association of Canada’s Insurance and Government Relations committee. As well as the College of Pedorthics of Canada’s ethics committee. She has also served as a private consultation to the insurance industry. Amanda strives to educate and promote the field of pedorthics to the general public, medical professionals, and the insurance industry.

Canadian Certified Pedorthists are foot orthotic and footwear specialists. They are one of the few healthcare professionals educated and trained in how to assess, cast, modify, design and fit of custom made foot orthotics, footwear modifications, and footwear.
